anomaly effects

Andrew has always had a deep love of both art and film, being influenced from an early age
by artists such as Jim Henson, Frank Frazetta and Ray Harryhausen.
These instilled a overwhelming interest in depicting both monsters and the human form,
which drove him into perusing a career in Special Effects.
He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2007
with a Bachelors of Science in Special Effects and Industrial Design.

After graduation Andrew moved back to Buffalo work for Buffalo Nickel Productions’ “Banshee”
and has been active in the Western New York special effects scene ever since,
working for independent films, television, and the haunted attraction industry.
In his down time Andrew continues to pursue his fine art,
working primarily in mixed media to create a blend of horror, surrealism and cartoons.
He has a deep interest in body modification, primarily piercing and tattooing,
and is a voracious reader, especially of the works of Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft,
David Eddings, and John Ringo, among many others.
